This passage today should make you feel special! God chose you. God chose you. God chose you before the creation of the world. Before God created anything else, you were on the mind of God. More importantly, you were in the heart of God.
In love – with a heart bursting with tender compassion for you – God predestined you to be adopted as his own child. If this doesn’t make you feel special, nothing will!
I know that there are lots of questions about God choosing us or predestining us, and He allows us to go through 'life'. It is one of the great mysteries in the Bible.
Being in pains and hardship, one feels abandoned and unloved by God. But do you know being alive is by His mercy and love?, and because we are chosen.
Despite the mysteries, here is the main point: God chose you. He chose you because you are incredibly special to him. Always have that at the back of your mind when the batch of grief hits.
Ephesians 1:4-5a
Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ.
