People that live under the influence of stress on a daily basis are living in survival mode. Grief creates emotional stress that affects the smooth connection between the brain and the heart, this in turn triggers health problems, poor relationships and low productivity generally.
In this mode, all that a grieving person perceives is danger and fear. They see a situation that might get worse if they don't take control of it. This is as a result of poor neurological networks in the brain caused by stress hormones. Like lightning, the brain begins to fire out of order, and that affects the person's behavior. The brain starts to function like a house divided against itself. At this stage, all you want to do is fight, run or hide, the easiest reaction is to fight. Anger sets in, and the whole body gets agitated, and the heart starts to malfunction.
Most of us are in this state now because of our grief experience. With the little knowledge of the danger our emotions pose on the brain and our overall health, we can start making conscious recovery changes.
Stay around relatives and friends that make you feel loved. Engage in activities that interest you, and temporarily take your mind off yourself. Dress up and show up, look good for yourself, ignore negative people with negative comments, praise and worship gives birth to supernatural miracles. That is the door to your healing.
The loss of your loved one is enough pain to deal with, don't give room to potential mental distress. God has great plans for your life.
Be determined to fulfill your destiny, this season is temporary. You shall overcome.
Revelation 3: 21
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne.
