Loss of a loved one attracts sympathizers among friends and close relatives. Some stay around for a short term and move on with their lives, and expect you to 'get over it' and start living your normal life too. There is nothing wrong with their expectations, but they just cannot feel you because they are not in your shoes. Do not take offense, appreciate them anyway. Some close friends and family members linger on longer, bringing food supplies, encouraging and supportive with their physical presence, some call in regularly as well.
These are large and kind hearted people, they leave their businesses and families to attend to you. They spend their time and resources to cook and make sure you are not left comfortless. They should be appreciated for their kind gesture.
Contact them to let them know they are appreciated.
The truth is after some time, the traffic of well-wishers stops. You are left alone to figure out your life by yourself, and it's then the reality of the absence of your loved one kicks in. The good news is that God is with you always. He never leaves you.
Halleluyah.
Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV
