The scripture describes the role the word of God is designed to play in our lives.
The word of God is described as water, as light, as mirror, as fire etc. Once we can grasp the significance of these symbols then we can also grasp the place of the word of God in our lives.
The word of God is described as a hammer. Hammer is used to drive a nail or other objects through a wood or a wall. It is also used to drive a chisel through a rock or any other hard place. Usually when the hammer is being used it’s applied consistently and intensely until the purpose is achieved.
The word of God is also given to us to chisel our way through the hard places of life.
The loss of a loved one is intense in feelings. The most effective medicine to overcome and get healed from the traumatic experience is the Word. If you are not emotionally stable to read, you can listen.
Consistent and committed application of the word drives us through the hard places of life. The Word will chisel our ways through hard times.
The word breaks the rocks. We have to stay faithful in season and out of season insisting on the word.
This is an attitude that stays committed to the reading, application and declaration of the word of God over impossible situations. This is an attitude and a resolve not to settle for any other thing other than what the word of God says.
Once God has spoken to you, refuse to let go. You may have to chisel your way through human opinions. As you hold on to God’s word; it will break every barrier.
Jer. 23:29
Is not my word like a fire? Saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”
