The first sign of a great destiny is being in a 'pit'.
No matter how anointed, discouragement sets in when it looks like there is no light in the tunnel. Satan is skillful in programming discouragement into our paths to make us give up, because he sees what we don't see.
The hurts and pains that come with grief could be so deep that giving up will be justified, but PLEASE DON'T give the devil a foothold and excuses to short circuit your destiny.
From my personal experience, I will advise the following:
1. Stay in the game and be patient while you seek God continuously.
2. Discouragement is for a season.
3. Discouragement is a validation that you are carrying a great destiny.
I will liken this to symptoms that come with pregnancy. No matter the discomfort, we continue to joyfully bear the discomfort till full term. The pains become stronger at the verge of birth of this bundle of joy. Fortunately, the nine months of pain disappears as soon as the baby arrives.
Halleluyah!!
Could we be carrying 'a bundle of joy even in this excruciating pain?
Lamentations 3:25 AMP
The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him, To those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word].
