The state of our hearts; our inward disposition and the content of our character make who we are inside.
The state of our hearts can be described in different ways. We can talk of a heart of faith and a heart full of fears. We can talk of a timid heart and a courageous heart. We can also look at a pure heart and also an impure heart. Whichever we are looking at they all describe the state of our hearts.
The issues of life are governed from the heart. It therefore means that if the heart is in a poor state it has positioned the man or woman to govern life poorly. The outward manifestations of life are essentially a product of the heart. It therefore means that if the man will experience any significant change in life it must start from within the man.
The content of our hearts will determine the content of our lives. What do you read, who do you listen to, what films do you watch, what music do you love. Your heart cannot be feeding on junks and expect your life to be a treasure. Your life produces from the abundance of your heart. There must be an inward change by exposing your heart to the word of God and materials that will deposit the right materials in your heart. The inward change is proportional to the quality of materials we put into our hearts.
Some have never read a good Christian book before that will mold their lives. If you are really serious about doing something great in your life, do something radical about experiencing an inward change. Consume the word of God and read great books.
Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life
