Isaiah 54:17 for you today “No lies formed against you will prosper; every tongue of lies against you shall not prosper...” It's not a new thing for someone to fabricate lies against an innocent person. Joseph had a firsthand experience of this. It was such a blatant lie. The unfortunate thing about it was that everyone believed the lie. There was no way he could have proved that he did not do it. His master’s wife accused him of attempt rape on her.
When lies are fabricated against you the first thing you need to do is to establish a clear conscience. Once that has been established then you need not care what is being said against you. Human judgment doesn't count but God’s judgment does. Everyone that heard the woman’s lies would have judged Joseph wrongly. He was unjustly thrown in prison for what he never did. At the end of the day, it was God’s judgment that prevailed.
Lies against us can rob us of our self-worth and confidence. It’s an attempt of the enemy to deflate us from within. This is actually the best time to raise our head high and increase our confidence in God and his ability in us.
Joseph remained excited even in the prison. His countenance remained as bright as ever. David said “...Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”
Before Jesus was crucified the Jew accused him of so many things that never happened. Jesus did not lose sight of the joy that was set before. He despised all the allegations and contradictions until he saw the travail of his soul.
Keep your focus on God’s plan and purpose for your life and refuse to be distracted.
Gen 39:14
That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice.
