Prayer is not just a means of getting from God but a means of becoming in God. We’ll focus again on one vital prayer that Apostle Paul prayed for the people of God. Most people are confused with life; they just wake up daily to do whatever is convenient to do. Many have lived all their lives on what is popular and generally accepted in our environment. This is certainly not the best way to get the best that life provides.
The prayer of the Apostle gives us an insight into the possibility of God. Prayer gives us the privilege to lay hold of the provisions of God. Availability is not the same as accessibility. Prayer gives us access to all that God has made available for us. The prayer of Apostle Paul clearly shows us that it’s possible to be FILLED with the knowledge of the will of God. Filled means “full of.” This simply means that in every situation we can know exactly what God wants and what he expects us to do. We should not be at a loss at all on what steps to take, what to say or what to do when we are confronted with the issues of life.
Let me remind you again that this was actually a prayer point by the Colossians. Reading such a beautiful prayer point will have no meaning until it becomes our own prayer point too. Make the prayer a personal prayer exactly the same as Apostle Paul prayed for the Colossian believers. You will just find out that you are no longer confused about life. What seems like a puzzle to others will become so clear to you.
Col 1:9
“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”
