We have so much to gain when we align ourselves to the demands of scriptures. The word of God is the divine manual for a glorious life. Blessed is the man that does not live in the counsels of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in that law he meditates day and night.
These are divine instructions and prescriptions over our lives. There is no point going to see a Physician if his prescriptions will make no sense to us. Just imagine how many times you have seen a physician and took the prescriptions very seriously. Taking the drugs day and night. God’s word prescribes for us to meditate in the word of God day and night. It’s so clear what God is asking us to do for a glorious and a victorious life. The unfortunate thing is most people want a magical approach to their lives.
When we take God’s prescriptions our lives are planted by the water side. There will be a constant supply of the Spirit to move us forward in life. The fruits of our lives will come out at the right season. Our leaves will never wither and whatsoever we do shall prosper. Instead of wondering how you will prosper, it is more profitable to keep staying by the river side.
At the onset of the loss of my husband, the Word wasn't making any sense to me anymore. I prayed and confessed, but his death could not be reversed.
I later realized that the Sovereignty of God is beyond me.
Psalm 1:3
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”
