According to the scriptures, the Spirit of God was directly responsible for the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
Let me state clearly here that there is nothing significant any of us can do as believers without the involvement of the Holy Spirit. This is a major lesson each one of us must learn as believers.
The good news from our anchor scripture today is that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside each one of us. He has come to make alive whatever is dead or dying around our lives. Dead wombs can be quickened back to life. Dead situations can come back to life. Dead dreams can receive new life.
As I write this article I felt a surge of hope and joy inside me. Even when our back is against the walls we can bounce back by the Spirit. When we are down to nothing the Spirit of God can bring forth something great out of our lives.
The Pharisees thought they had seen the end of Jesus but that was just the beginning of an eternal influence on humanity.
I want to encourage you today to get closer to the Holy Spirit by developing a greater awareness of his presence and involvement in your life.
Don’t live your life passively; live it in consciousness and communion of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
